Research on High profitable Internet niches for 2006

The greatest challenges that many affiliates, bloggers and AdSense marketers face is finding their niche. I always suggest its best to start off with research. Here are some facts you can find using simple internet search:

1. Travel - In the United States, LOHAS (Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability) estimates that ecotourism, including green tourism, eco-volunteering trips, active sports trips and environmentally responsible tourism, is among the fastest growing travel trends, and represents about a $77 billion marketeven though it is still a small percentage of the overall U.S. travel and tourism market. 2. Internet marketing - According to the IAB&PWC, Internet advertising revenues in the US totaled over 12.5 billion for 2005 increased nearly 34 per cent over 2004, which is of 9.6 billion. The Internet advertisement in the US is estimated at $ 15 billion for the year 2006. Forrester Research forecast Internet based sales to touch $329 billion in 2010. (source: CIOL)

4. Online Porno - Hard-core sexual material sells because it titillates. Porn earnings are estimated at $ 10 billion to $ 14 billion a year in the United States (the lower figure is according to Fortune magazine) and $ 56 billion worldwide. Forbes magazine breaks down the global profits this way: adult videos,$ 20 billion; sex clubs, $ 5 billion; magazines, $ 7.5 billion; phone sex, $ 4.5 billion; escort services, $ 11 billion; cable, satellite, and pay-per-view TV, $ 2.5 billion; CD-ROMs and DVD-ROMs, $ 1.5 billion; Internet (sales and memberships), $ 1.5 billion; novelties, $ 1 billion; and others, $ 1.5 billion. 5. Mobile servicies - A typical user in the U.S., spends about $40 on voice service but only about $5 on data. And it's the data segment that has the most growth potential. Music and games each account for roughly 20% of mobile-content business, or roughly $2 billion to $3 billion. The rest includes such services as news, weather, financial data and horoscopes.
