Google released desktop version of Analytics on Adobe AIR platform.

Here are two simple steps for all who wants to try it now:
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
1. First of all you need to install Adobe AIR (available for both Windows and Mac OS)
Get distributive from Adobe Labs now! The total size is about 9Mb.
2. The second step you need to perform is to download Google Analytics desktop application for Adobe AIR environment.
Distributive can be found here.
The size of an application is very small, so don't be afraid, go for it!

As far as you complete the installation process (usually it takes about 30sec. on average PC) you'll be prompted to add desktop icons and lauch application. Just agree and start using it.

Now let's talk about the benefits of this procedure. I've noticed incredible increase in speed during charts representation and overall improves in performance opposite to the web version.

It was the first time when I've tried Adobe AIR environement and frankly it was great!

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
"...Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up..." The other purpose is to extend one of my previous posts on “How to find low competition high profitable niches for AdSense and affiliates”.

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
The first one I want to suggest is URLTrends
It is not a one tool - actually it’s a tools collection consists of:
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
URLTrends Search: in-depth website ranking analyzer based on data of Google, Yahoo, MSN and Alexa. Besides that it provides information on Link Popularity and Social Bookmarks Trends.
CompareTrend: compares almost any of the data they collect for up to 100 urls at once.
Reverse Keyword Lookup Tool: most important tool after the URLTreandsSearch which designed to determine which keywords and phrases your competitors hold in Google.
HTTP Header Lookup Tool: the one that instantly checks URL provided and then displays the HTTP Headers that are sent back.
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Each of them along and all of them together can be used to perform different analysis in world of SEO, internet marketing and promotion.

The next one will be - Google.
Normally most of people who use Google every day know the basic techniques how to perform search, but Google can be used to get more then just search results. First of all I encourage you to install Google Toolbar if you're using Mozilla Firefox browser (may be same toolbar exists for Internet Explorer too).

Here two most important features of Google Toolbar you'll get:
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Google Page Rank - it will give you opportunity to see importance of the page you're viewing.
Enhanced Search Box - as you type a search query into the new Toolbar's search box, you'll see a list of useful suggestions based on popular Google searches, spelling corrections and your own Toolbar search history and bookmarks. Besides this you'll get amount of results for each search query.
Full list of Google Toolbar features can be found here.
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

And finally I post a short reference on Google Hacks it will make your searches more effective and can give your opportunity to dig deeper:
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Basics:
1. Use the plus sign (+) to force a search for an overly common word. Use the minus sign (-) to exclude a term from a search. No space follows these signs.
2. To search for a phrase, supply the phrase surrounded by double quotes (" ").
3. A period (.) serves as a single-character wildcard.
4. An asterisk (*) represents any word—not the completion of a word, as is traditionally used.
Advanced:
5. Google advanced operators help refine searches. Advanced operators use a syntax such as the following: "operator:search_term"
5.1 The "site:" operator instructs Google to restrict a search to a specific web site or domain. The web site to search must be supplied after the colon.
5.2 The "filetype:" operator instructs Google to search only within the text of a particular type of file. The file type to search must be supplied after the colon. Don't include a period before the file extension.
5.3 The "link:" operator instructs Google to search within hyperlinks for a search term.
5.4 The "cache:" operator displays the version of a web page as it appeared when Google crawled the site. The URL of the site must be supplied after the colon.
5.5 The "allintitle:" operator instructs Google to search occurrences in the title of a document.
5.6 The "allinurl:" operator instructs Google to search occurrences in the URL (web address) ofthe page. The search term must follow the colon.
5.7 The "allintext:" operator instructs Google to search occurrences in the text of the page
5.8 The "allinanchor:" operator instructs Google to search occurrences in the links to the page
5.9 The "related:" operator instructs Google to search similar
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Now you can mix basic and advanced techniques to get more:
For example: use following pattern to find all pages contains specific word on specific site: site:(url) (search word)
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
More information can be found here.
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
"...The simple inherit folly: but the prudent are crowned with knowledge..." We can propose to live 60, 80 or in some rare cases 100 years. Let’s say we will live until 60 (to be on safe side). What is your age now? I’m 33 years old; therefore I lost half of my life and have 27 years left! Think about yourself, what age you’re. Most of people don’t even learn something useful during first period of time, when most of them don’t need to work and bring money to live. They live with there parents, go to college or university and most of time they spend with there friends without say to themselves – stop! I don’t want to waste my time at parties or bars.

Several years ago I read a book on how to make a business plan and the only thing I still remember from this book is this statement: If we were live 1000 years all of us will be rich people on the second half of our lives.

Now I am thinking that we all have a choice what to do. No matter what choice we have most of our choices brings unto us…. Yes you’re right – money.

Some of us choose to built career, some go to business and actually we know that when we go to this university we can get that amount of money on our first job (its not a fixed sum, I’m talking about money range), and if we’ll choose another one we’ll get another sum. Same rules work in business. We can propose what money we can get when we open a cosmetics company not equal to what we get opening an IT startup. You can ask me how? It’s easy - through building a business plan (in other words our propositions on market expectations opposite to our investments).

Internet and all modern technologies use the same principles and have built on the same rules. When I first saw the movies from my previous two posts – first thing I was thinking about was how simple it is and why I didn’t come to that by myself?

Therefore stop wasting your time if you know that what you doing now bring you less money opposite to something you can do but you don’t. Don’t even think that you can switch to that later. You don’t have later in your life. All what you have is NOW (you’ll be surprised but same way internet work). There are no past and no future. Only the page currently opened in your browser. Where you’ll go after that? That’s the question! Don’t waste your time.
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
"...The words of the Preacher, the son of David, king in Jerusalem. Vanity of vanities, saith the Preacher, vanity of vanities; all is vanity. What profit hath a man of all his labour which he taketh under the sun? One generation passeth away, and another generation cometh: but the earth abideth for ever. The sun also ariseth, and the sun goeth down, and hasteth to his place where he arose. The wind goeth toward the south, and turneth about unto the north; it whirleth about continually, and the wind returneth again according to his circuits. All the rivers run into the sea; yet the sea is not full; unto the place from whence the rivers come, thither they return again. All things are full of labour; man cannot utter it: the eye is not satisfied with seeing, nor the ear filled with hearing. The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun. Is there any thing whereof it may be said, See, this is new? it hath been already of old time, which was before us. There is no remembrance of former things; neither shall there be any remembrance of things that are to come with those that shall come after..." Here they are:

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
A. Three (3) Conversion best practices (to enhance customer's interaction):
1. Lemming principle
Most respect websites use a certain standard of design. In some cases you can put following things to increase customers faith to trust you:
1.1 Put eBay power seller logo (if you actually is a eBay power seller and sell stuff on it).
1.2. Add Live Support button (actually you need a person to answer incoming questions, at lease for several hours a day).
1.3. Put VeriSign logo.
1.4. Add Traffic ranking button with "Certified by Alexa (Alexa is an Amazon company)
1.5. Put BBB Online Reliability Program logo.
1.6. Add UPS logo (if you give opportunity to trace UPS delivery)
1.7. Add reviewed by Trust-E logo.
1.8. Add pictures of common credit cards you receive to make payments (like Visa, Master Card, Diners Club, Discover etc.) From my side you I can add that it will be good if you put logo of each payment system you work with. Same way as most Casinos do.
1.9. Add information that a customers can make an order 24 hrs a day, 7 days a weeks, 365 days a year to insure that they purchase whenever they want.
1.10. Add phone number to call for help shopping.
2. Business councils
Put credibility stamp on your site, for example "As seen in Home business magazine" or "Contributing Editors: Entrepreneur Magazine, E-Biz radio show" or "Featured on While you were out" or "Chandler: Chamber of commerce member".
3. Pimps
It is called also Guided navigation" or "Pimped navigation". When you have a really huge menu on your site, just add some kind of a small menu (with previews or thumbs describes where each link actually leads) to help people navigate through your site for the very first time (it must be bolder then the original menu and you can add a small character to bold it).
B. Rank single sales page sales letter
The truth is that that kind of sites can achieve rank greater then the huge ones like Yahoo shops.
C. Hollywood style search engine optimization
Remove all text from the site the index robot can find to associate a website with the only one keyword which describes site the best way. For example: a website of "I, Robot" movie. It takes a lot of time and a lot of linking connecting to the site.
D. Keyword research the way the Big Dog do.
Actually it means technique how to get most effective search phrases corresponds to your business, check them and if they are relevant - finally build keywords based on them.
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

"...He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich..." Here are some facts you can find using simple internet search:
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
1. Travel - In the United States, LOHAS (Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability) estimates that ecotourism, including green tourism, eco-volunteering trips, active sports trips and environmentally responsible tourism, is among the fastest growing travel trends, and represents about a $77 billion marketeven though it is still a small percentage of the overall U.S. travel and tourism market. Internet marketing - According to the IAB&PWC, Internet advertising revenues in the US totaled over 12.5 billion for 2005 increased nearly 34 per cent over 2004, which is of 9.6 billion. The Internet advertisement in the US is estimated at $ 15 billion for the year 2006. Forrester Research forecast Internet based sales to touch $329 billion in 2010. Online Porno - Hard-core sexual material sells because it titillates. Porn earnings are estimated at $ 10 billion to $ 14 billion a year in the United States (the lower figure is according to Fortune magazine) and $ 56 billion worldwide. Forbes magazine breaks down the global profits this way: adult videos,$ 20 billion; sex clubs, $ 5 billion; magazines, $ 7.5 billion; phone sex, $ 4.5 billion; escort services, $ 11 billion; cable, satellite, and pay-per-view TV, $ 2.5 billion; CD-ROMs and DVD-ROMs, $ 1.5 billion; Internet (sales and memberships), $ 1.5 billion; novelties, $ 1 billion; and others, $ 1.5 billion. In the 70's, in NYC, where everyone is chic and suave, an Iranian taxi driver put up $30,000 for a double fold out page ad. All it had on it was his picture, full page, and in huge text, "SEND ME $1", and his address. That taxi driver got rich that day (source: ask The Geezer).
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Now you can ask me, why i'm posting it?
Ok, let me explain....
During the last days I see a lot of people (especially those who have blogs) asking "How to start making money using internet?" Actually there are a lot of ways to do so. Here i want to post my ideas, what I'm thinking about it.
First of all - no matter what type of business you'll choose you need to know one thing: traffic = money. Most of successful businesses I know based on this.
Now, IMHO Alex Tew got his money only because of one thing - he got attention of the biggest publishers without giving them a dime and through them he became popular (got traffic, visitors, attention) and succeed selling his pixels.
Therefore: if you have an idea how to make money using modern technologies - go for it!
Give a try! It's the easiest way to make really big money (in case of some luck).
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
"...Is there any thing whereof it may be said, See, this is new? it hath been already of old time, which was before us. There is no remembrance of former things; neither shall there be any remembrance of things that are to come with those that shall come after...." Eccl. 1:10,11 KJV (source: bible)

Money? We think about money, dream about money and forget that first of all money is an instrument of support.
I've started this blog principally because I want to share my thoughts with those who want to make money using modern technologies.
