Google Analytics meets Adobe AIR

Really good news for all who uses brilliant Google Analytics for traffic tracking. Google released desktop version of Analytics on Adobe AIR platform.

Here are two simple steps for all who wants to try it now:

1. First of all you need to install Adobe AIR (available for both Windows and Mac OS)
Get distributive from Adobe Labs now! The total size is about 9Mb.
2. The second step you need to perform is to download Google Analytics desktop application for Adobe AIR environment.
Distributive can be found here.
The size of an application is very small, so don't be afraid, go for it!

As far as you complete the installation process (usually it takes about 30sec. on average PC) you'll be prompted to add desktop icons and lauch application. Just agree and start using it.

Now let's talk about the benefits of this procedure. I've noticed incredible increase in speed during charts representation and overall improves in performance opposite to the web version.

It was the first time when I've tried Adobe AIR environement and frankly it was great!
